Before you begin, set up your account, so your team can quickly generate on-brand, personalized images.
Make sure you have these key elements in place:
Brand Kit
Your Brand Kit ensures Image Agent generates images that match your brand's visual identity. Here's how to set it up:
Upload your brand assets: Import any product photos, style guides, logos, and fonts. Typeface automatically extracts brand data from your uploaded files.
Train image style preferences: Upload reference images that represent your brand's visual identity. Image Agent will learn from these examples to maintain consistent lighting, composition, and aesthetic across all generated images.
Tip
Tip
The more visual references you provide, the better Image Agent can match your brand's aesthetic. Use images with a unified style (all illustrations or all photographs), focus on aesthetics over text or products, and ensure files are at least 1000px in JPEG, JPG, PNG, or WEBP format.
Save color palettes: Create and save multiple color palettes to apply instantly when generating images.
Once your Brand Kit is set up, Image Agent automatically pulls from it to generate on-brand content. There is no need to re-upload anything for new projects.
Audiences
Add Audiences to personalize visuals for specific demographics or customer groups.
You have a few options here:
Import from your CDP (such as Salesforce Data Cloud, HubSpot, or Klaviyo)
Upload a file (CSV or XLSX) containing audience data such as age, location, interests, purchase behavior, or other customer attributes
Create manually in Typeface by defining age, traits, interests, or buyer type
Once your account is set up, go through the next steps to create your images.
Creating images with Image Agent
Type an AI image prompt in chat describing the image you want to create. You can be as brief or detailed as you'd like with these prompts:
Short: "Fresh heirloom tomatoes and greens on a rustic wooden table."
Long: “A rustic wooden table with fresh heirloom tomatoes, leafy greens, and root vegetables in warm morning sunlight. Soft-focus farm and red barn in background.”
Tip
Tip
Select the image style and color palette in the Brand Kit to ensure your generated images stay on-brand and consistent with your visual identity. You can also adjust the creativity level to control whether the Image Agent generates precisely what you describe or takes a more creative approach
You can also generate images by uploading a reference image to guide the creation. Just click the paperclip icon to add your reference image, product photo, or mood board, then type in your prompt in chat.
Use prompts like:
"Create product photography of hiking boots with winter background"
"Place this product on a marble kitchen counter"
"Show our serum on marble with soft light"
This lets the Image Agent match the lighting, tone, setting, and aesthetic of your inspiration image while seamlessly incorporating your product or branding.
Click the paperclip icon in the chat box to add:
Audiences: Choose target audience segments to tailor the visual for specific demographics or customer groups.
Assets: Add any images like logos, reference images, or product photos from your asset library. You can also upload new assets directly from the chat interface by clicking 'Upload' and selecting files from your system.
Note: Image Agent may ask clarifying questions before generating to better understand your needs.
After Image Agent generates your initial image, you have several options for refining it:
Chat-based editing: Type your request directly in chat to modify the scene, characters, or background. For example:
"Show this with a Christmas background"
"Change the aspect ratio to landscape"
"Make the background Japanese"
"Show the same scene at night"
Focus Mode: For more detailed edits, select the image and click "Focus Mode" from the toolbar to open the Design Editor.
This gives you access to:
Cropping and resizing tools
Layer management
Logo and product overlay placement
Detailed adjustment controls
You can return to chat at any time by clicking back into your project.
Once you're satisfied with your image, you can:
Download in multiple formats: PNG, JPEG, WEBP, or PSD (preserving all layers for further editing in Photoshop) and resolutions.
Save to an image collection for easy organization and future reuse
Export directly to connected tools like HubSpot, AEM, Aprimo, or Dropbox through your configured connectors
Creating image variations at scale
Select your image and click "Variations" in the toolbar to generate multiple versions:
Audiences: Creates variations tailored for different audience segments, adapting visual elements for specific demographics.
Formats: Resizes images for different platforms and channels (Instagram square, LinkedIn banner, display ads, etc.).
After you select your options, Image Agent will calculate the total number of variations and generate them for you.
