Typeface Menu Options in Google Docs and Google Slides

When you install Typeface from the Google marketplace, you will link it to a specific Google account and will need to accept the requested permissions. Once installed, the Typeface Add-on will show up in the Extensions menu in Google Docs and Google Slides.  If you only see the Help menu item, refresh your browser.

Create new

Use one of the templates in Typeface to generate text and image content. Then press the Save button to insert the content into a document or slide.

Insert Text

Use a prompt to generate text that you can insert into a document or slide.

Insert Image

Use a prompt to generate an image that you can insert into a document or slide.

Add existing

If you have already created content in Typeface, you can select it and insert it into a document or slide.

Apple Safari

Apple Safari’s default privacy settings may disable the Typeface add-on.  To enable it in Safari,

  1. Select the Safari…Settings menu option to show the settings dialog.

  2. In the Privacy tab in the settings dialog, uncheck the Website Tracking option to Prevent cross-site tracking.

  3. Close the Settings page and try using the Typeface add-on again.
